*The entire country is in an uproar on the cutbacks to education from kindergarten to college. But, as the funding has been cut back in states throughout the U.S., student’s tuition and fees have soared as a response. State governments plan to let the students shoulder the burden that they have created.
According to CNN, UC students throughout their system have literally taken to the streets to show their discontent with the nearly $1 billion loss of funding between 2008 and 2010. The cuts include cancelled classes and furlouged professors. Also in the report, fees have increased 182 percent since 2002. (more…)
